Geepas wanted their kitchen appliances shown doing the thing people actually buy them for: cooking. We built a cooking series around a presenter and a recipe, shot in a full working kitchen, so every product moment lands inside a dish someone would genuinely want to make.
The challenge
Appliance content usually falls into one of two traps: a spec-sheet demo nobody watches, or a food film where you can't tell whose product it is. The brief was to hold both: appetising food and a hero appliance, with neither one feeling bolted on.
Our approach
- Wrote the series around one recipe per episode, so the appliance earns its screen time by doing the work rather than being introduced
- Two camera positions running all day (a top-down for the cooking beats and a clean presenter frame) so the edit had coverage without slowing the kitchen down
- Lit the set warm and practical, with the hob and the counter as the brightest things in frame, so the food reads first
- Framed every set-up for 16:9 and 9:16 from the start, then pulled the vertical cutdowns and the stills off the same day's rushes
Deliverables
- Full-length recipe episode
- Vertical cutdowns for Reels, TikTok and Shorts
- Stills pulled from motion for product and social
- Captioned and sound-off variants

Results
One shoot day produced the long-form episode, the short-form set and a run of campaign stills. Enough content to carry the series across YouTube, Meta and the product pages without going back to the kitchen.
